Summary
As a Bookkeeper/Accountant, you will perform accounts payable/accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, fixed asset maintenance, including journal entries and account balance reconciliations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform functions of a full-charge bookkeeper (i.e. G/L, AR, AP, payroll accounting, F/A, tax and general)
- Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data in maintaining accounting records in ERP and QuickBooks accounting system
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approves for payment.
- Manage approval process bill paying system
- Invoicing of customers, aging of accounts receivables, collections, and maintaining customer accounts and credit terms
- Investigates problems that customers, vendors, or purchasing agents have with providing or obtaining payment.
- Assists employees, customers, vendors and auditors by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and/or disbursed.
- Credit card management and reconciliation
- Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing and knowledgeable accounting procedures

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- ATA Accounting degree considered, 4 year college degree preferred
- 3-5 years full charge bookkeeping or general accounting experience minimum
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) Accounting software
- ERP systems preferred
- Intermediate experience spreadsheet software (MS Excel) and Word Processing (MS Word and MS PowerPoint) software
